Her students range from all ages: from the age of four to forty. They have performed at world-renowned halls including Steinway Auditorium and Carnegie Hall. She is one of the few pianists chosen by Steinway an Educational Partner, and she hosts several student recitals throughout the year in various auditoriums. Curriculum and Philosophy
Charu emphasizes a piano curriculum that starts from thorough knowledge of the basics. She and her team believe that a knowledge of the core repertoire, with modern music and constant recitals and contests strengthen, inspirate and motivate young talent. All students start from the basics and by the end of six months to a year, know how to read and write music, transpose, sight-read, demonstrate excellent aural skills and increase their confidence by building their classical, jazz and world music repertoire. Charu takes great care in ensuring that all students grow confidence, poise; and refines students' pianistic skills through constant practice and performance. She offers instruction in classical piano, theory, world music, jazz, Indian ragas, composition, conducting, and arrangement.
